My Family: My marvelous husband and I live in Allendale with our 3 year old little boy, Ronnie and 10 month old little girl, Hadley. Ron teaches Biology and Chemistry at Allendale High School. Ronnie enjoys riding his new bike, exploring outside, Gym class, playing cars, and movies. Hadley loves playing with her big brother, going to the zoo, taking walks in the wagon, eating sand, and playing in the water. We also have a dog, Belle. She is a lab/chow mix. Since both my husband's family and mine live on the other side of the state, we have made many friends through our neighborhood and schools who have become our family away from family. This will be my fourth year at WMAES and sixth year teaching third grade. I graduated from Ida High School on the Southeast side of the state. During high school I played basketball and volleyball, was class secretary, and a member of the Bluestreak Buddy Program. From there I attended The University of Michigan-Dearborn. During college I played on the volleyball team for four years. I graduated with a bachelors in Elementary Education with a major in math and minors in Language Arts and Science. August, 2010 I finished my masters degree in Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College! Hobbies: My hobbies lately have been taking trips to Silver Lake, sewing, bike rides, running, and shopping. When I get a few free minutes I like to sneak in volleyball, scrap booking, camping, hiking, and a non-children's book. |
